The NCSD historical museum is open year round except for the holidays. We recommend that you allow a minimum of one hour to view exhibits.

Hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am 12:00 pm and 1:15 pm - 3:00 pm. We are out to dine somewhere from 12:00 pm to 1:15 pm.
Friday, 9:00 12:00 (Sometimes we will be at the museum.) If you plan to stop by to visit the museum on that day, we would appreciate that you call us to let us know about your plan in advance.

Admission There is no charge but we would appreciate your donations to the NCSD museum.

The Historic Rusmisell Museum Society is a 501 (c)(3) and 509 (a)(2) nonprofit organization; all contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Our organizations objective is to collect all available historical material  connected with the history of the North Carolina School for the Deaf at Morganton, North Carolina  and to preserve the same and record it in such an orderly manner that it may be more readily utilized for  educational purposes.
